Sporting Images recently provided coverage of the 2008 Womens Rugby League World Cup and International Police World Cup held at Kawana in Caloundra. Both World Cup events are part of the Australian Rugby League’s (ARL) Centenary of Rugby League celebrations in 2008. Barry covered the opening night at Kawana, and Duane covered the action on most days at Kawana with the images going up each evening on the website for display. SIA also had their on site sales van on display for 2 days with the 2 screens showing the best of the action and all the images displayed as proofsheets in our sales tent.

Matt covered the grand finals at Suncorp with New Zealand taking out the Womens final and Fiji winning the Police final game against New Zealand.
Shane provided the team photography at this event and the framed team posters proved very popular with the teams. Shane also photographed the Presentation night and all the photos are now available in our Archives
