About

For over 18 years, Sporting Images have been capturing award winning images from some of the worlds premier sporting events including a number of Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and numerous World Championship events.
As pioneers in Australia of internet sports photo archiving, Sporting Images were the first Australian photo library in 1996 to have their searchable database available on the internet. Since that time we have supplied images to most of Australia’s top sporting magazines, sporting organisations, governing bodies, advertising agencies, book publishers, sponsors and numerous clientele who demand only the best in sports photography.
In 2000, Sporting Images also decided to expand its professional services to club and school sporting teams and events. This service has proved extremely popular, with many clubs and individuals purchasing action photos, professionally photographed to a standard usually found only in the top sporting publications and magazines. Introduced in 2007, our new on-site multimedia display van is now a popular attraction at events and images can be purchased digitally at the event or afterwards on our website.
Our new Blog is also now available for sports photographers, event organisers and others who are interested in our service. Our photographers and staff will be reguarly submitting articles on how they have covered events, and other interesting news stories about Sporting Images event coverage.
Sporting Images is proudly Australian owned and operated.

Mission Statement:
From the very start, Sporting Images, has based its business on quality, and not quantity and we only use the very best sports specific professional photographers, with the latest long lense technology.
Our photographers are chosen from the very best in their particular field of photography, and all take great pride in their work, consistently producing magazine quality action photography.
We do not guarantee to photograph every athlete or player at an event. We take the best possible action photos of as many competitors as possible.
Quality Control:
We realise with the latest technology that a lot of people are now taking their own action photos, however as anyone who has bought a quality print from us can testify, there is a huge difference in quality between a normal “zoom” camera and our fixed focus professional long lenses. All prints are also produced on a professional R8-4 Printer using quality Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper. We do not produce same day prints as we believe the print quality and longevity of the prints is still not up to standard of the printer we currently use, and we have found posting out the photos printed at our lab is still the best way to provide a quality product.
