South Burnett Junior Rugby League Finals – Kingaroy

Duane covered the South Burnett Junior Rugby League Finals in Kingaroy this weekend and congratulations to all players and teams who made the finals this year. The local Red Ants team won all 3 division finals for the first time in years against spirited opponents and some great footy was played by all teams..

The Lakes College Fun Run

Duane, Shane and Lee covered the recent The Lakes College Fun Run. Over 1000 competitors enjoyed the bright sunshine and with over 40 kilometres of bike and pathways, the community of North Lakes made a perfect location.
Consisting of events run over 2km, 6km and 10km circuits, The Lakes College Fun Run is set against a picturesque backdrop of landscaped gardens, lakes and bushland.
Duane took the high bridge photos with a Canon 5dmk2 Camera and a 15mm fisheye lense in an Aquatech underwater housing mounted on a 2.5m painters pole. Shane used a Nikon and Lee a Canon Mk4 Camera at the start/finish.

School Sport Australia 12yrs Hockey Champs – Gold Coast

Matt and Duane recently covered the School Sport Australia 12yrs Hockey Championships on the Gold Coast.
Matt used the 400 2.8 Nikon with the D3 Camera and Duane used a 500 VR lense with the D300 camera. All 5000 images taken are available at the following password protected LINK If you didn’t manage to get a flyer (with password) at the event – please email us your name and your team name and we will email you a password for access.
Duane has also covered Hockey last 4 Olympic Games and will be covering the 2012 Hockey in London Olympics.

2010 Swimming Australia Age Championships – Sydney

Congratulations all swimmers who are participatied in the Swimming Australia Age Championships in Sydney, Click Here to view all the photos. Over 60 000 images have been taken by 4 photographers over the 6 days of competition.
For the first time at this event we had 2 underwater cameras using Aquatech housings and Canon cameras, and the above the water action being taken with Nikon and Canon prime lenses. Matt (Gold Coast and South Brisbane) Duane (Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane) and Trent (Sydney) are now available to come out to your Swimming Club or family Pool for 1-2 hours and provide you with quality images of each swimmer. All photographers use only the latest Nikon and Canon technology and video is also available if required.

2009 Noosa Triathlon Festival

Sporting Images provided coverage for the recent Noosa Triathlon Festival and congratulations go to the all the competitors and organisers of the week long event.

We had 7 photographers at the Noosa Triathlon on Sunday and covered the swim exit with 2 photographers. Over 46 000 images were taken in one day by our 7 photographers during Sundays main race. Click Here to view all the festival photos taken.

2009 Queensland School Sport 19yrs & under Track & Field Championships â€“ Brisbane

Sporting Images recently provided coverage of the Queensland School Sport 19yrs & Under Track & Field Championships in Brisbane with 4 photographers and over 40 000 images were taken over the 4 days.
The photos were taken with a mixture of Canon (Mk3) and Nikon ( D300) cameras with lenses varying from 15mm fisheyes to 500 f4 VR lenses. The 100m finals had 3 different camera angles on it again this year, and we also trialled an underwater camera in the steeplechase this year. Duane has done a Blog Explanation on how he came up with the underwater images.

2009 World Triathlon Championships – Gold Coast

Sporting Images, provided coverage of the 2009 World Triathlon Championships on the Gold Coast. Over 80 000 images have been captured by the 9 photographers over the 4 days of events using Canon and Nikon equipment.

For the first time at an Age Group Championships, Sporting Images had a photographer with an underwater camera photographing the athletes as they exited the water and these proved very spectacular images with our photographer spending up to 6 hours in the water each day capturing most athletes exiting.
